Tour Overview

The Your Tour Desk Difference

Our carefully crafted itinerary focuses on three key goals: avoiding the crowds that often overwhelm the bay, timing our visit to Koh Hong to explore its fascinating tidal caves, and providing a unique experience that you won’t find with other tour operators. Through careful planning and the expertise of our dedicated tour coordinator, we’ve created a tour that ensures you’ll see the best of Phang Nga Bay in the most immersive and intimate way possible.

An Early Start for a Day of Adventure

Your adventure begins with an early pick-up before dawn from your hotel in Khao Lak. After a scenic transfer, you’ll board a traditional Thai Longtail boat for a sightseeing cruise through one of the world’s most beautiful coastal regions. As the sun rises, we’ll make our first stop at James Bond Island, famous for its appearance in the movie The Man with the Golden Gun. Here, you’ll disembark on the nearby island of Ko Khao Phing Kan to photograph the iconic islet of Koh Tapu, known for its towering limestone spire.

Explore the Hidden Wonders of Koh Hong

Next, we head to Koh Hong, an island that’s known for its breathtaking caves, secret lagoons, and impressive karst formations. You’ll hop into a canoe, where an expert paddle guide will navigate you through the island’s impressive tidal caves—carved over millennia by water erosion. This unique experience gives you a close-up view of the dramatic rock formations and hidden lagoons, making for an unforgettable part of your tour.

Discover Koh Panak: A Secret Island Gem

Unlike many other tours that focus solely on James Bond Island, we’ve designed our itinerary to include Koh Panak, making our tour stand out. After disembarking on this lesser-known island, you’ll explore its hidden caves and lagoons on foot and by canoe, delving deeper into the natural beauty of Phang Nga Bay. This added stop ensures you see a side of the bay that most visitors miss—an exclusive experience that makes your early start worthwhile.

Lunch at the Unique Panyi Floating Village

After an exciting morning of island exploration, we’ll take you to Panyi Floating Village, a fascinating sea gypsy village built entirely on stilts. Here, you’ll enjoy a delicious Thai lunch, with the chance to interact with the local community, shop for handmade crafts, and learn about the rich culture and history of this unique seafaring village.

Canoeing Through More Sea Caves

As we make our way back through the bay, your captain will guide the boat to another stop where you’ll be taken by canoe to explore even more hidden caves and caverns. With your paddle guide at the helm, you can relax, take in the stunning surroundings, and capture photographs of the ever-changing interiors of the caves—without the need to paddle yourself.

A Visit to Wat Tam Suwa Kuha Temple and Playful Monkeys

Before returning to the mainland, we’ll make a stop at Wat Tam Suwa Kuha, a beautiful temple nestled in the jungle, home to a large troop of Macaque monkeys. As you explore the temple grounds, you’ll have the opportunity to interact with these playful creatures. If the temple is crowded, your guide may take you to Wat Prachum Sueksa Temple instead, where you’ll enjoy a quieter experience with fewer tourists. For an added bonus, we’ll stop by a local park in Phang Nga to watch more monkeys in their natural habitat.

Watching sunrise at Hong Island with barely anyone around felt like a dream. Later, when we passed other crowded boats, I realized how lucky we were with early itinerary. Lunch was fresh and there was enough water and soft drinks for the hot day.

I strongly recommend this experience, especially the early morning departure.

The round trip transfer from our hotel in Khao Lak was smooth and on time. We left while it was still dark, which felt a bit crazy at first, but once the sun started rising over Hong Island it was absolutely magical. The itinerary allowed us to explore the beach almost alone. No crowds, peaceful water, perfect photos. Paddle guide helped us through the lagoon caves which was a highlight. Amazing day, higly recommend it.
