On the way back to Khao Lak, your guide will choose to visit either Wat Prachum Sueksa Temple or Wat Tham Suwan Kuha Temple, depending on the best option for a peaceful and rewarding experience.

After a scenic transfer, you’ll board a traditional Thai Longtail boat for a sightseeing cruise through one of the world’s most beautiful coastal regions. As the sun rises, we’ll make our first stop at James Bond Island, famous for its appearance in the movie The Man with the Golden Gun. Here, you’ll disembark on the nearby island of Ko Khao Phing Kan to photograph the iconic islet of Koh Tapu, known for its towering limestone spire.

Explore the Hidden Wonders of Koh Hong

Next, we head to Koh Hong, an island that’s known for its breathtaking caves, secret lagoons, and impressive karst formations. A Visit to Wat Tam Suwa Kuha Temple and Playful Monkeys

Before returning to the mainland, we’ll make a stop at Wat Tam Suwa Kuha, a beautiful temple nestled in the jungle, home to a large troop of Macaque monkeys. As you explore the temple grounds, you’ll have the opportunity to interact with these playful creatures. If the temple is crowded, your guide may take you to Wat Prachum Sueksa Temple instead, where you’ll enjoy a quieter experience with fewer tourists. For an added bonus, we’ll stop by a local park in Phang Nga to watch more monkeys in their natural habitat.

Watching sunrise at Hong Island with barely anyone around felt like a dream. Later, when we passed other crowded boats, I realized how lucky we were with early itinerary. Lunch was fresh and there was enough water and soft drinks for the hot day.

I strongly recommend this experience, especially the early morning departure.

The round trip transfer from our hotel in Khao Lak was smooth and on time. We left while it was still dark, which felt a bit crazy at first, but once the sun started rising over Hong Island it was absolutely magical. The itinerary allowed us to explore the beach almost alone. No crowds, peaceful water, perfect photos. Paddle guide helped us through the lagoon caves which was a highlight. Amazing day, higly recommend it.
