Where is Cheow Lan Lake located?
Cheow Lan Lake is located inside Khao Sok National Park in southern Thailand, approximately 1–2 hours from Khao Lak.
This tour is operated from Khao Lak only (NOT from Phuket).
What time does the tour start and finish?
Pick-up usually starts between 06:30 – 07:30, depending on your hotel location. Return time is approximately 17:30 – 19:00.
You will be informed for the pick up time shortly after we receive your booking.
Is the tour suitable for children and elderly guests?
Yes, however: Some activities (such as cave trekking) may be physically demanding. Life jackets are provided for safety. Please inform us in advance so we can adjust the program if needed
Can I swim in Cheow Lan Lake?
Yes! Swimming is allowed and highly recommended. The lake is calm, clean, and surrounded by breathtaking limestone cliffs.
What should I bring with me?

I booked this tour because it was advertised as an English-speaking tour with an English-speaking guide. Unfortunately, that was not the experience provided.

At the start of the tour, the guide himself explained that he is primarily a German-speaking guide, speaks German and Thai, and that his English is limited. He even mentioned that he might need other participants to help translate into English at times.

Throughout most of the day, explanations about the history, locations and activities were conducted mainly in German. English communication was minimal and largely limited to logistical instructions such as timing, meeting points and a line or two of background information. My friend and I being the only two English-speaking participants, were unable to meaningfully follow most of the guided commentary.

In addition, the itinerary stated that the tour would include a stop at Nam Rad Watershed Creek for a swim, but this stop did not take place. If there was any explanation provided, it was apparently done in German and therefore not understood by us, the two English-speaking guests.

The guide himself was friendly and polite, and this review is not directed at him personally. However, the actual tour experience was materially different from what was advertised and booked.

I would strongly suggest that future customers clarify in advance whether the tour is genuinely conducted in English or if it is primarily a multilingual / German-speaking tour.

The guide was funny, always helping us. The small group size made it personal, and our guide gave us plenty of time at each stop. Swimming after lunch on the little island was magical. Kayak activity was best part, we laugh so much. Lunch was good, spicy but tasty. The itinerary was clear, first lake, then cave, lunch, then kayak and swim. I recommend this tour for group fun.
